Anyone mind posting pictures of the speedo with the car in the off position, but with the lights on. I still don't have my gas hand in the right spot from where I looked into changing my leds.

well.. the stock color is a reddish-orange that leans more towards the red side.
the leds, i buy from overseas from a trusted source.. pm me if you want any or need any details..
currently not in plans to do a write-up or DIY since the methods are basically the same as any other soldering rework DIYs posted up by other people. just applied to a different car.
the only thing really needed is how to take apart the dash to remove the cluster.. at which then.. i will continue to note that Scions are built like legos.
yank away.
if you guys are still scared as hell to just yank apart the dash... well... i suppose i'll do some pictorial later on.

Hey squall. Do you know of anyone who sells a conversion kit for the tach? Im really wanting to do an all red interior lighting thing. Also (i may be picky) but during the day when the light is shining into the tach or into ur eyes you cant see the meter very well if you know what i mean. I wish to elliminate this.
How much brighter than stock are the Blue Leds, and do they still dim with the dimmer ****? I've had enough experience with soldering to attempt this, but I don't want the replacement leds to be blindingly bright.

pm me if you want to get some stuff. i have a few on hand i'm willing to part with.
the brightness is fine. anything that would look "brighter" i would say would be more due to the color and your eyes not being used to it.. transitioning from a more easy on the eyes stock color.
circuitry is not affected.. so yes, the dimmer **** still works. i think William (the guy i did the swap for).. usually doesn't have his dimmer maxed out because it's too bright for him when it is.. but even then.. when it was stock.. he didn't have them maxed out either.
