Hey did anyone try these LEDs for the reverse light?
7440-x18-T: 18HP-LED 16mm Wedge Base 7440 Tower Bulb
http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...744x-x18-T.htm

They will draw roughly ~3watts, does anyone know what the fuse is rated for that supplies that electrical branch

I've been doing work on my own (successfully swapped some lights with LEDs) and I don't understand why these number designations must be so complicated.
MOST IMPORTANT is the brake light bulbs: as the socket wiring is not compatible with regular replacements labeled "7443"; modification is required one way or another unless the bulbs are wired for CK sockets.
I understood the reason for this thread is to elaborate for the non-mechanically inclined details of the bulbs(details that cannot be read from the bulb itself like the Toyota parts tech did when I went there in person to get answers on bulb types).
I personally know that the parking lights, (sidemarker and parking are one and the same) not four bulbs for front) license plate lights and front roof lights are all compatible with 194 wedge style bulbs.
According to sources... for trunk light DE3022 must be forced in.
[I'm only speaking of replacing with led bulbs]

What bulbs did they use behind the HVAC dials since they didn't use LEDs? And how on earth do you get to them?

I've had a few pieces of the center console apart just out of curiosity, but even with three or four pieces loose the part by the glove box seems to be holding the HVAC cluster in. Haven't really had time to do more exploratory yanking than that.

Anyway, for those of you who have been behind there, is the orange in the temperature dial a filter that can be removed or is it a bulb thing? The orange blending with the blue/white/red is killing me.

I plan on doing some digging tomorrow. If I can figure out how to get to that one then I can work on it and the light under the letters on the gear selector. The bleh color on that bugs me as well. Aside from that, the orange dash is actually growing on me. Easy on the eyes driving home at night.

Hey Guys. I was on this site back in 2005. I had a 05 Super White TC M/T. Unfortunately I totaled it in a month. Six years later and I'm back on the TC scene with a 2011 Cement TC A/T. I'm looking to do this LED swap for the interior. How do you guys think amber leds would look? I'm thinking since all are instrument panels are amber it might look good if they match. Good to be back here I love reading everyone's posts. Thanks for the help!

Since you can shut off the rear dome and trunk lights, you can also just grab one set of T10 wedge bulbs for the front map lights and get a good idea of how it will look.

If I were you I wouldn't get the dome lights same color as the dash. It would simply be too much. Under-dash/foot light match the dash is what looks best because u can't see the actual led strips. So dont match the lights that perform crucial functions with each other(dash/dome). Match the lights that are there for decorative reasons. My car is full of blue and initially I was gonna do the LED swap on the dash from orange to blue but realized it wouldnt be that great to have EVERYTHING the same color

If i ever want to actually do the dash led swap I'd change my dome lights to cool white leds

to get the the hvac controls. theres like 4 or 5 pieces that need to be pulled out. just work your way around it. and it all just pulls out. when you geet into the controls. theres 2 lights. ones an led which is that orange light you see when you turn the ac button on. and the other one is a twist bulb. something like this..

and the ones in the gear shifter are a 74.
