another noob
Hello all. I just picked up a 2011 tC 3 days ago (so I guess that makes it a "tC2"?) and in my experience, forums are pretty much the best source on the internet for learning anything about.....well....anything really....but especially cars it seems, so here I am.
This is my first front-drive car, first 4-cylinder and first Japanese car so all and all, it's a whole different thing for me. I've mostly been a muscle car guy and currently have a 2008 'vette with a small supercharger on it as my "toy".
I always liked the tC and when the time came to get rid of my gas-sucking Jeep for a new everyday car, I decided I wanted something fairly efficient but I couldn't bring myself to buy a 100 hp econobox that would bore me to death so the tC seemed like a much more enjoyable choice. So far, I'm liking this car a lot and, because I can't leave ANYTHING alone, I'm sure I'll end up bolting stuff to it soon enough. (already itching to add HIDs and mod that stupid single reverse light deal).
Anyway, sorry in advance for the inevitable stupid questions.

welcome man! telling you right now the tc2 is a very nice little ride. nothing compared to that vette of yours of course lol. and whenever you have some questions. make sure you look around before making another thread about it. and when you do have questions. everyone here is glad to helpout.
good luck with modding!!
good luck with modding!!
Yeah... You'll be modding very soon. The tC is a fun little car and a great value for the money, but after a few times of having to sit behind a slow car rather than pass because it doesn't have the 50-90mph acceleration you're used to, you'll get the bug.
I'm coming off a couple cars with 300+ hp (nothing close to the 550+ your Vette has) and I notice it. Only think keeping me from throwing another $8K in performance mods is that I'm between jobs right now. Soon though, very soon...
Oh, right, and WELCOME! Enjoy the ricer world. It's a fun new experience.
