Descendant or Injen CAI??

most CAI's if you dont have the bat disconnected when you hook it up and then re-connect it, it will because of the disconnect/reconnect of the MAF censor

Soo many questions, so little time...
Steven7Ray> Does your Descendant have a mounting bracket in its current SRI configuration?
Jerm> What type of filter did your Descendant kit ship with, and was it dry or oiled?
Papabear> On the page for the Descendant kit it states "After hours and hours of dyno time and testing ...". Do you have a dyno of stock vs this kit? I like the stuff Descendant makes, but want to see if there is much power loss in the low RPM range. Thanks!

There is no bracket in the SR configuration, however I tested it myself in the configuration prior to the products release and with the intake securely fastened on the throttle body it is not going anywhere. It does not have enough weight nor the space in the engine bay to move around really and it for sure will not fall off or come out.
The filter I believe is still dry. The changed to this filter after I received it and need to update my site but the filter has the same characteristics as te AEM filter.
As for the dyno sheets I am still waiting for Descendant to get them to me but I know it had plenty of dyno time as they tried many types of setup during testing and assured me it was safe for AFR's even with the addition of their exhaust. As many of you know it is the same company as world racing (with the 1000+ hp tC) so they are very busy and sometimes it takes a little time as they are busy but I can assure you they know what they are doing! You don't have a 1000+ hp four cylinder if you don't know what your doing ;)

well i dont know much about the descendant intake, but i have the injen cold air and exhaust, (both up for sale because i switched to descendant turbo kit) i had no problem with the intake or the exhaust, i felt the power after each one was installed and got noticable pick up, but they were the r and d models so they were the first ones made. any quistions about either email me at andrewdtr@gmail.com

i dunno, my buddy has a descendant intake on his tc2 and i have the injen in mine and there is no difference..Injen sounds a little louder at fullthrottle, but i like the fact that the descendant goes over the battery and not through! also dont like the fact that he had to use the tiestraps to keep it stable! looks tacky
