High RPM????
Hey guys so i love my 2014 Tc. She is a great car, sporty, sexy, sleek but I seem to have a high RPM when driving.
So I go about 80 Mph on the highway all the time my boyfriend actually noticed that my RPMs are close to 3200 when in 6th ive thought it was high but never really thought of it as a problem. well his Jetta in 5th gear sits at about 2000 when going 80! IM CONFUSED. i have one more gear... shouldnt it be sitting at a lower number?? HELPPPP

I thought the same thing about my 06 tC... it seems that Toyota has them set to run a higher rpm... this is why I feel I get poor mpg in this car too. But I must say that for what this car is, they have managed to get some output from it. My 06 tC is faster than my wifes 2014 civic. However she gets way better mpg than me...lol
The higher rpms is normal for this car.

Okay cool my dad had an xB gen 2 and he didnt see any high rpms on it so i was just confused!
Maybe it is just because its a 2.4L 4 cylinder engine?
my hubbies jetta is a 1.0L and his gets double in mpgs than I. LOL
Thanks for the response
