Newb on Scion Life
Hey Everyone --
I thought I would finally register to the site since I have had my Scion tC for just over a year now.. I always looked through the website but never made an account. Anyways, here my 2012 Scion tC
Got it new off the showroom floor. I have a whopping 9k miles so far, but have been fun. Not many complaints.
I'm sure I will be posting more these days now that I'm a member. If anybody wants to meet up in the Bay Area (I live in Walnut Creek) just PM me.

I actually really like the OEM navigation and backup cam. Since I am newer to CA, I tend to use the navigation a lot so I don't need to use my phone. Surprisingly, I thought it handled very well in the snow too, I drove up to Tahoe a few times.
On the other hand... I hate how my glovebox, sunroof, and passenger seat rattle though! I always have to turn up the stereo

For the glovebox - easy fix - get some adhesive tape and line the edges with standard felt. You might also want to add some sewing tacking onto the release lever.
The passenger seat could be a worn release lever that isn't properly gripping or locking into the rails. And the sunroof - well, might want a shop to check on those.
Aside from plastic warping with age or temperature variations, there shouldn't be rattles IMO.

Well, it had the leather when I saw it on the showroom floor. I think it says katzkin on a small tag. Leather is not even an option for scions, at least in 2012, so no it isn't factory but the dealer had it installed. On the window sticker I think I paid $2k for it. I really like the perforated suede inside and leather sides and headrests. But no the headrests don't say tC on them. It also has leather side inserts in the door panels.
