Hey guys,

New to the Scion brand. I want to get a new Scion tC for less than 10 grand, but not seeing a lot of second gens out there. What makes the second gen better than the first? I like the first due to the low costs, but if there is something that I am missing, please let me know. My family has a couple of first gens, and swear by them. Now is your chance to sell the second gen to me. Thank you very much.

So taking into consideration my tC2 is FBO + tuned and modded in a very OEM+ style, it feels much faster than my friends tC1's that are modded/upgraded. The tC2 also feels considerably more modern and is and roomier than the tC1. Not to mention they offer a 6MT in the tC2 vs the tC1's 5MT (huge selling point for me). Also with the tC1 being an older car they will likely require additional maintenance sooner than the 2g. TBH the tC1 just feels/looks old and dated now. You can't go wrong either way if you find a solid car, but (facelifted) 2g for me.
