So whats really missing from the TC2 that was in the TC1?
Ah, copy. I had a GMC truck with a "Shift!" light to tell you when to shift for maximum economy. My Fit has a real-time gauge to tell you your instant mileage. It made me appreciate just how much a full start/stop will hurt your mileage.
I didn't really like the 2nd gens when they first came out. When I got in the wreck that forced me to buy another car I looked for another 1st gen like the one that was totaled.
The dealer had me sold when he said Six-speed manual.
The sunroof doesn't bother me, the plastic side bars on my 2006 would always jam up and force the sunroof back. Doing the LED swap on the 1st gen's AC controls was a hell of a lot easier than the 2nd Gen but I got it done. Also they use a vac display for the clock that was a little challenging to the change the color but I also got it done. The 2nd reverse light not being there is a little annoying but I am gonna convert mine. I love the damn thing, and there is one sure fire way to fix that ECO light...get a manual trans. It's not the old one but its a definite improvement if you ask me.
