Sounds like a plan 2tc, lets get a new design going!

Are you Evan or Danny? Who are we having this conversation with? I’m Dr. J3 (Doctor “J” cubed). All 3 of my initials are Js. Since my name is Lithuanian, nobody can pronounce it, so I just go by my initials. I do have a post graduate degree, so that explains the Dr. Let's keep this here on this public forum since we need a car from one of the members here. I would prefer a car with performance wheels and tires up to 9” wide…no stretched tires, we are looking for handling. I would prefer a car with 245 or 255 wide ultra performance tires and TRD lowering springs, but this is definitely not a requirement. I want to be able to push the chassis when we test it…we will have a third opinion/driver too.

If you would have bits and pieces for at least two mid chassis braces on hand (I’m thinking of the mounting cups here…please don’t cut your tubing yet,but do have some there), we could have one made in a couple of hours…and if you will have your welder available.

I wanted to make a trip to Temecula anyway to visit Sector111. Are they anyplace close to you? I guess it can’t be that far…this is Temecula… :D

May I suggest you change the title of this thread? Write something like TB Performance has paired up with 2tCornot2tC to build the ultimate mid chassis brace…need a car to test it on.

This is Evan. We keep a good supply of materials in stock, so that wont be a problem. Sector111 is right down the road, and happens to be next to an excellent local brewery =).

I'm in Vista and could definitely come out if you guys need a test car. The thing is I'm on stock tires and no TRD springs. Although I have been contemplating getting the springs and this may be just what I need to push me to get them. I already have the first gen mid chassis brace on it now.

I'm in Orange County and have been to Danny's place before, and have his mid, x and trunk bar from TB already in my 2011 tc with stock wheels and tires and eibach pro-kit springs (which are pretty close to the TRD, let me know. I know 2tCornot2tC is an engineering master from what I have seen from the rear upper control arms and I would love to help (as long as I get a re-engineered brace too ;-)

Hmm two possible test cars...

A brace would definitely be given to the test car.

Do either of you guys have some free time in december?

Another 4 guys got a hold of me through FaceBook for this project…I have not committed to any one guy yet. I said I would keep everyone up-to-date as things unfold. Since it is during the holidays, I figured life happens and we would be guaranteed a car. I’ve already bought my airline tickets. I’ll be in LA at noon on the 18th of December.

I was planning on spending Christmas Eve and Christmas day in Mission Viejo. How about I drive down from Ridgecrest on Friday morning the 21st? I would be in Temecula mid day on Friday the 21st. We could do a tour thing then…get acquainted. (And spend some money at Sector111.) We would have all of Saturday the 22nd too. Or move it down to drive down on Saturday and have Sunday to work on the cars the 22nd and 23rd… I would like to combine this trip if at all possible. Christmas is fixed in place...I have to work around that. I’m open for suggestions.

sounds good to me, I can do Saturday or Sunday, I would think we could knock it out in a day if we start early, Saturday the 22nd is better for me.

Update: I’ve got an appointment with Shinoo (owner of Sector111) from 11:00 to 1:00 on Saturday the 22nd of December. I will be at TB_Performance Products right after that…they are right down the street from each other. We do the test driving and mods then…so whoever is available at that time…see you then and there.

Why not? They have a lot of the pieces already made... I'm coming half way around the world for this...(no exaggeration. It is 11 hours between California and me right now.) How far are you going for this?
