What does Garage is empty, Add now mean?

I have a Scion tC 2014 with the TRD package, so I have the TRD 19" wheels.
They are 235/35/19

These tires need to be replaced after a year, I average about 18k miles a year. I drive a lot for work.

I basically want tires that still look somewhat sporty but can last a decent amount, I don't want to have to replace my tires once a year.

at 19", my option are limited, i basically have to purchase racing z rated high performance tires, these tires are not meant for distance.
I was told I should switch to a 18" because there are more options, a sales rep said for my car it would be 225/45/18. 45 would help last longer.

I don't know much about tires, can anyone recommend what brand and what size tires and wheels to get?

I think some black wheels for my white scion would look sick.
(I bought the car with lowered springs new from the dealership)

Thanks guys!

I would suggest you consider the Stock tC2+ OEM Wheel and Tire sizes to maximize your tire wear:

stock tC Wheel size is 18x7.5 +39

stock Tire size is
225/45R18

My 2015 RS9 came with 18" Glossy Black Wheels and they look Fantastic!
They are also found on these other Release Series:

2012 Scion tC RS7

2013 Scion tC RS8

2015 Scion tC RS9

2016 Scion tC RS10

These Wheels can be Special Ordered through your local Toyota Dealer.

You can also try painting them black:
DIY: How to paint your stock wheels gloss black

The OEM tires are
Toyo Proxes PXA20 Radial Tire - 225/45R18 91W

I have my Original tires for 2 years and 16,000 miles and they look barely worn.

Other makes of ties are recommended HERE
