I'm running HIDs myself on my xb, got flashed many times b4 looking more into how to limit the glare and blinding light...a friend of mine ordered some type of headlight "tube" that fixes on the housing and creates and flat-lined spread of light and also has a somewhat beam in the center (hard to explain), but there's no wacky spread of blinding light and it works just great. The HIDs i'm runnin don't have a high beam so there's no use with my switch, just kills the light. The tube works only with this kind of single bulb. He had it shipped in from Japan...i think it's from a company...Heartily.jp (somethin like that).

Exactly. Pretty good tubes, usually when you got HIDs you can't look directly at your ride from the front..these help disperse the light evenly and directly to the road so there's no "all-over" spread of the light.

I got an XA and I'm running the Bixenon 5000k sliders from HIDextra. They are MUCH better than the first kit i got. At first i went with the halogen high-beamed bulbs but was flashed numerous times, even with lights adjusted way low, then it was too low to give me good vision down the road. But now with the slider bulbs, I have good highbeams and the cutoff on the low beams is great. it was only like 30 bucks more, so like maybe 105 bucks with the scionlife discount. I got the slim version so that was a bit more also. Well worth it!!! So far the kit has worked perfectly.

Right now I have a slim/digital kit with the Xenon Low / Halogen High (which means my high beams suck). Would I be able to buy one of the kits on ebay with the bixenon bulbs + harness and just plug in the bulbs to my slim ballasts? Basically my question is do I have to use the annoying and giant harness that hooks up to the battery?

I actually just did this. The bi-xenon bulbs are awesome. Pretty good cutoff with very little scatter/glare. I've had them in for a week and I haven't gotten flashed.

I'm trying to PM you instead making this thread longer but I can't do it...Anyways.

Was it literally just plug and play? Or did you have to mess around with the cables? Right now it's just OEM car harness>slim ballast>two plugs>sucky Hi/Lo bulb. Just swap bulbs and hook the new ones up to the two plugs?

Actually, you have to have the special harness with electronic relay box built into it. That is what keeps power to the lights when switching from hi beam to lo beams and its what moves the bulb shields. Any of the ballasts will work but if you get the bulbs, be sure to get the harness, then you are set.
