The OEM version comes painted. . . I was a big fan of the type A or 1 or whatever.
05 bumpers will fit an 06 and vice versa. Direct swap. But you have to take the grill with you. I was the donor for project car. . . and it fits.
The bumpers are not the same and lip kits only work with their corresponding years. If you want to force it on, you might be able to find a way to cut it and/or modify it to work.

Yes I know the OEM comes painted but they do not have it in Salsa Red only Absolute red.
now I am confused. I thought they were pretty much clip ons and there was not removing of anything
I still wanna know what the conversion from s$1000 to USD is.

This lip kit will not fit USDM bumpers. The overseas front and rear bumper are shorter. They do not stick out as far as the US ones do. If you take a closer look at the slop of the grill down the front bumper, you will notice that it goes down pretty steep. Also you will also notice that there are no reflectors on the rear bumper and corner markers on the front bumper. Also, this is why the C-One kit will not fit our cars.
^^^ we shall soon see. looks like i'll be the guinea pig for this mod, but i work at a body shop and can typically get things to work even if there needs to be some modification. worse comes to worse, i'll get the jdm support and front bumper shipped over.
ken with kinwaymotorsports assured me it would fit the usdm model and i have ordered many parts from him prior to know for other cars and know for a fact that he hasn't bs'ed me on fitment.
as for fitment from the 04-05 to the 06, the body lines on the bumpers are different as the bumper goes up to the side. you could probably get it to fit, but there would more than likely be a need for cutting and material removal on the stock bumper, in which case i would suggest adhering the lip with a large panel adhesive such as duramix. once you put that stuff on there allow it to sit overnight and the two parts will be as one and you won't have to worry about it coming off.
be sure to check out http://www.kinwaymotorsports.com, ken has updated his list of iST/xA parts.

that's the RS3, the only place that lip will ever been seen, unless you can call a dealer and tell them you crashed your RS3 and you need a replacement.....for the front and back. then you'd have to shell out the close to $2k that the kit would retail for, if it was for sale. [not meant as a flame, don't take it that way] the kit is by KenStyle, and it's custom make for the RS3
grrr, why is it so freaking difficult to get a decent cost, decent (not extreme) looking lip kit. I could get this kit for $650 and pick it up but I am not sure what the cost of paint and install with be.
This is the kit I was looking to get as an alternative:

It just looks like it would be an extreme and expensive install, paint and new grill?

my dealer only wants $120 to detach, fix, paint and reattach my side skirt. and install for a lip kit is pretty easy I think, like 2 person, so one can hold it level easy. and XcelsiA would be happy to help out a fellow member like that.

Really? Well Maybe I should get the kit , have it painted and we could install it in someones back yard or garage
Heh, I also have MMW headers, a new Tenabe exhaust + Killer Glass to install.
