Default 2 Xa mod questions (first upgrades)

Well I am the poor college student and I am jsut wonderin about a few things.

I am wanting to get a CAI. is there a noticeable difference in performance and MPG, also should I get a really bendy one or go with the pipes with the lest bends? It seems that people like pulling air form away from the engine but liek to have the straier pipes. So what do you people think? which is better to have seeing as how I can not have both.

now for the other part. a sway bar, strut bar or whatever you want to call it. is there a noticeable difference in handleing? a buddy just got one for his hunday, and he loves it. and should I go with the double bar one or go with the single bar? I am looking at a single bar alluminium. but again what do ya'll think?

I will go ahead and say you can save money and get better response results from a short ram intake. the temp is barely different from the cai and the sri. As far as strut bar goes, you can never be to stiff in that area, but your question is will you notice it. no, not to much, you would be best off at this time getting lowering springs, thats a handeling difference you can be happy with.

The CAI vs short ram question will never be answered....but my suggestion is to get the CAI with the least number of bends...and what bends it has need to be sweeping....less restrictions on airflow...

I have heard that the front strut bar doesn't do much but look good. The thoughts behind that are that the struts are so close to the firewall, the structure is already very stiff. But, a rear brace is very well worth the money, you just can't see it....

Hope that helps some...

if you go with springs, just watchout how radically you lower it, you don't want it having the smooth ride of a radio flyer

really I rather liked the radio flyer of the old days.

Now what about the CAI or whatever of the like that I go with what does it do for my MPG if I am a good boy? better worse same?

ok so springs look the best instead of the sway bar for now.

I am a firm believer in the CAI....if, and this is the hard part, you can keep your foot out of the firewall, the CAI should give you better hiway mileage... no huge jumps, but I see about a mile or 2 mpg on hiway only driving. You can just tell it is breathing better.
