Now part of the family...
Well, I'm in the SL fam finally...woo woot
I got my xA this past week...already put 800 miles on it in a week and 2 days (averaging 34 mpg on mixed driving)....
For all of those waiting for their xA's I definitely feel for you...my wait wasn't horribly long (July 5th to August 13th) and I had a great dealer experience, but I was definitely was counting down the days...
and the little car is so worth it...came from driving a 96 Camry (which I put 208,000 miles on it before giving it to my parents...mechanic says it has at least another 50,000 left on it) and I love how it handles...sure the acceleration can be rough from a stand still (but my Camry wasn't a ton better), but I think it accelerates really well when you are already cruising along.
For those interested in the vehicle:
2006 Flint Mica xA
Automatic (unfortunately never had a car to learn manual on)
Base on everything except the armrest and Side/Curtain air bags (the wife wanted them
)
Changes already installed:
Front Door Sill Enhancements - $38 from Scionpartspeople.com (great site)
Scion Floor Mats - $40 from Scionpartspeople.com
Rear Mudguards - $19 from Scionpartspeople.com
TRD rear sway bar - $145 from trdsparks.com (awesome site)
Changes in the future:
Monroe Sensatrac rear shocks
TRD Lowering springs (wife doesn't want a large drop
)
16" wheels and tires (still shopping for them)
Chrome door handles
Smaller chrome antennae
Security System w/remote
and who knows what else...
Right now the car looks a bit boring (because most of it is still base)....when I finally spice it up, I'll post some pictures...
For all of you in the Northern areas...how do these little guys handle in the snow?
