Default snorkel delete cons?

i just did a snorkel delete and to be honest, it almost sounds better than my old CAI(e-bay!). other than a very small amount of torque loss i like it. would there be any other cons to running like this tho? i dont live anywhere near any flood prone areas, so thats not an issue either.

very very slight torque difference(if any.. I never noticed any change).

However you will gain more mpg's since after the snorkel delete, your trottle body is sucking in hotter air from the engine bay = hotter air = higher mpg's

hey guys!! instead of the snorkel delete..... how about turning it upside down where as the intake it drawing air from the bumper air which is cooler then engine bay air which is hot..... a cheapo CAI???

possibly.

Well, what are you going to gain by doing so, given it has a small opening.. maybe 1hp/ 1torque ? The thing w/ CAI is at least it has a larger diameter tubing, and large funnel type front inlet, K&N, etc.

Would you rather have 1 more hp, or potentially 2-3 more mpg (its not all about sucking in hot air to increase mpg, but a BIG.. BIG part of it is operator experience/driving habits, shifting quick, breaking only when you need to, not changing lanes often- keep straight!

Hope you changed that filter too, and made sure that the MAF is properly seated... a lot of those knockoffs have poor quality bends and welds.

yea i swapped it,my vacuum filter is better than what it came with! it all came together good tho. i had to do a lil mallet work to make it fit properly but it all went in. i was thinkin bout gettin a nicer name brand one but why pay $180+ for some bent aluminum that cost 5 bux for those companies to manufacture.
