I just bought 06b scion Xa.

suddenly this blue light pops up when i start to ride and disappear in 3min later.

I do not know what is problem its my first car and dont have manual.

guys please let me know what is problem thanks!

 

Worst picture I have ever seen in my life. It's hard to tell what it is, but it look like it is your "oil temperature" light. Try and get a better picture so we can help you. But yeah, you're car might be running a little hot at the get-go and then cools down. Either way, it's not good. Check the oil level, if it's low, add some. If the reason it was running hot was from your coolant, the check engine light would be on instead, so I think you're good with the radiator at least. But since you just bought it though, you can take it in to the dealer you got it from and they'll check it out for free especially since they possibly sold you a lemon. Go to the dealer. Didn't the first gen xb's have a light telling you when the coolant was at a temperature that it would actually be able to blow "warm" air into the cabin? I'm pretty sure that light was blue, and would disappear after a minute or two of driving.

 

It's the coolant temp. light. It's blue when cold and red when cold so it will be blue until the engine warms up. look at scionlife.org.

hahah, new member.. i just signed up now.

I just bought an 06 XA for my wife and today i took it out and noticed the blue light.. Had my 10 year old son look at the manual.
