Default Does anyone make an xB ECU?

Im wondering if anyone carries and ECU upgrade for the xB, and would it void warranty?
If someone does carry it, is it worth it? Does anyone have it?

hmm seems way too vague and scary , tuning it yourself , without knowing how and since it isnt software based not knowing what does what. hmmm.... you'd have to be a techno wiz for that system , or so I think

Megasquirt is interesting but EMS stinger is better. But there's no point whatsoever in doing standalone wihtout forced induction.

it wont work it's for auto only . and i believe the lack of emission controls will also not crossover onto our emission controlled vehicles.

what kind of mods do you have that will warrant the need for a modded ECU? if it's minor bolt-on's i'd say honestly don't bother.

but in any case if you really wanted one i'd say have technosquare reflash your ECU like someone else mentioned. Brian and the guys down there are real good and can get it out usually same day if it arrives in the early day time. they don't "chip" the ECU, btw, they simply go into the ECU program(s) and modify the maps a little bit depending on your mods (either that or they remove the speed limiter, up the rev limiter, etc. depending on your mods). they've tuned our Vakamon twin turbo G35 stock ECU (no piggyback computers whatsoever) close to about 500hp on 91 octane street gas and conservative boost (10-12psi) so they know what they're doing.

most modern cars have ecus that relearn stock maps. this makes it difficult to properly tune. as mentioned before you dont need a ecu or stand alone unless you are running FI

Or if you have made considerable internal modifications. With a change in the ECU, you'll prolly need to made some mods to the fuel delivery system also.

But then again, I don't know squat and get second guessed by the "experts" all of the time.

from our experiences working closely with technosquare, yes, the ECU will relearn the configured maps. that's the beauty of it! the "cracked" portion of the ECU tuned by them will function how they've programmed it to then the portions that haven't been "cracked" yet (keyword 'yet') get cleaned up by the relearn mode of the ECU. case in point they put the G35 they're tuning for us on the dyno, 417whp. didn't touch anything, drove it for a couple of weeks, dyno'ed it again at 427whp without even touching a thing.

the stock ECU bases off the map programs inserted and cleans up any what it considers "rough" maps and adjusts accordingly. the catch to the relearn feature on most late model ECU's though is that they MUST get constant power. they cannot be unplugged from a power source (which means the battery cannot be disconnected unless there's a direct power source feeding it like a charger). otherwise, the relearn process starts all over again.
