has anyone ever done a motor swap?????..........4EFTE turbo, 1ZZFE, 2ZZGE, or bored and stroked the 1NZFE

 

1zz or 2zz are the most feasible. and would be able to be made smog legal

 

bored and stroked....that's where i'm going.....working w/ my race car engine builder on forging a crank and pistons for my '04 box. they make pistons, regrind cams,and forge ( or have forged) cranks all the time. that's my world.....if it's not on the "shelf", have it "made"

can't bore this thing much... (cast-in iron sleeves and low tolerances to overboring...

And this motor is so stroked already... it'd be insane to go further.

goto dragtimes.com and look at the stats for the 12 sec. xB, its pretty much everything this guy plans on doing, so I doubt its bs or a waste of money, not to mention the increased amount of boost you can put on a forged engine, if he were to go that route. Hell you could boost and spray all day, if it were setup right, on that forged motor.

 

no bs..... my builder has a complete engine at his shopthat he has taken apart and issmoking over. if it works cool, if it doesn't then so what. people thought i was wasting my time when i had my motor built for my dragster ( 3500cc tubroed air cooled vw w/ hilburn injection @ 1100 hp) but when i run 4:70's in the 1/8 at 142 m.p.h just like the v8 guys do then their thinking changes. i just can't oder anything from jeg's like they do.

 

Hey, do me a favor and make two of everything, so you can do some high humidity track testing in, umm, my box.

yeah the 12 second xb is an automatic , and it's bored , and turbo'd

 

Darren no offense to Tony... but I dont see his box running 12's... There are tC's running just over 300 whp and just breaking into the 12's.. He maybe 5 or 600 pounds lighter in weight, but he also has 100 less whp than the tC.. and on top of that he is running an auto.. dont get me wrong I ran an auto too and there is no missing gears, it's just stomp the gas and a good luanch.. but it's just not all coming together for me.. If he actually is running 12's then its awsome.. but he needs some time slips and vids of his runs to shut people up that are gonna queastion his times..

Well if he ran 12's and it wasnt 12.1, then what was it??? Did you see a scanned time slip or a vid of the run.. Becuase if you didnt, then I ran a 13.2 in my box and never even went to a track.. Im not trying to bust your ***** here Darren or Tony's.. but truth is in showing of proof.. not just what one says...especially on the internet. So tell Tony to get some vids of these runs..so we can all cheer him on..till then... Im still not believing it.

I am a drag racer ( NHRA & IHRA licenses) and follow drag racing whole heartly...there has NOT been any 3 second 1/4 mile runs. the record as it stands is 442.8 @ 327.98. Your talking 6000 H.P.
