The 1zz/2zz would be the easiest swap to do.

Can you imagine 180hp from a 2zz from an 03 Celica GT-S with a 6 speed manual putting the power to the wheels? Build it a little, forged internals, full exhaust, intake, headers, maybe even boost?

The engine isn't even really bigger than the 1nz, the size difference is minimal. It can be done, and has been done in a Yaris hatch, which, by the way, has a TINY engine bay. A box owner just needs to take the time to do it.

the 2zz is a flawed motor imo. it's an inference motor. and many have been blown to bye bye. so many used motors are toast.

and they can take boost but not much more than 4psi.

I'm looking to trd supercharge the 1zz in my box.

i agree with hotbox. we like the shape just not the power. ever heard that flies aren't aerodynamically designd to fly but still yet it was possible. so that's my goal. try to make it work no matter what, can't say no and not try. plus having a cheaper import and suping it up would make me like any other ricers. these boxes was created to be unique, so i will build it uniquely.

P.S. TC motor isn't crappy, say a TC with I/E/H beat a IS300 with the same equipment from a dead stop. about a 1000 feet the TC had two car lengths.

I totally agree. If you want to paint it camo and put a 4ft plastic spoiler on the back, or if you want to swap the entire body away from the drivetrain and chassis monster-truck-style onto a different frame, it's totally up to the owner and there are no rules.

I would love to believe that but it's just not true. Think of what aerodyanics is all about... Airplanes for example... They are always slender and curvy to slide through the wind rather than push a mass out of their way. I LOVE the xB's appearance, but tall flat structures don't take wind like shorter slanted structures...

Aerodynamics play a big role in highway mileage, and the Scion XB (and Honda Element) have the aerodynamics of a brick. - http://www.popularmechanics.com/blog...s/4216290.html

Wow. It's hard to make a strong point when you discredit yourself in the end as someone who posts crap like this... That's unnecessary.[/quote]

the aerodynamics of a scion xB is .34

do you want me to copy and paste a chart that shows which cars are less aerodynamic than a xB. cause a lot of cars that look more aerodynamic simply are not.

oh and whether harsh or not my opinions regarding the tc stand true most of the time and i make no apologies for my opinions.

never did I say there was anything wrong with members of those groups just that I don't want to be associated with any of the three.

He's right. I didn't want to believe it either, but the numbers don't lie. Several sources, incluing Automobile Magazine list the xB's drag co-efficient as .35. Here's a link to other cars cd:
