Factory cruise control works intermittently
Is this happening to anyone? I can set the cruise control, it'll work for a minute, then cut out after hitting the slightest of bumps on the road.
I forgot to reply to this. You're right. I found out the '04s never had factory cruise control.
I didn't think I could search by picture, but sure enough, here's what I have...

I'll find out about it and see what's up.
For anyone else who has something similar, here is the page for product manuals:

Sounds like you'll have to check all connections from the CC wiring harness to the various in-car connections - perhaps starting with neutral safety switch and brake light switch (the connections to these, not necessarily the switches themselves).
I do have a PDF Rostra CC installation manual for our cars that I could email you.
I would check the big terminal block under the right side of the dash. The Rostra power wire is pushed into another wire's socket there. On my car, the wire for my aftermarket moonroof was already pushed in there, and when the Rostra installer added the CC's wire, he loosed the moonroof wire, and after a year of being jiggled by bumps it fell out so the moonroof lost power.
So maybe your CC power wire is loose in that terminal.
Toyota cruise controls tend to allow a push up and down on the lever. I have an 04 and it is definitely not a factory one.
