Default Horrible grind..

hey fellas, i'm tryin to figure out a prob b4 i give an arm and leg to the dealership. The other day i was driving lookin 4 a parkin spot, as I made a left turn i heard a loud "snap"..like from the passenger side wheel. The car made a small jerk and since then i've had this constant loud grinding noise. Whether I'm reversing, driving and turning left this noise is there. I've brought it in to the dealer just to have a quick listen to it. They jacked it up, jerked on the right front tire (wheel bearing is good), checked the brakes (caliper and pads still good). Then they said it might be from the drive shaft axle bearing. They pointed out to where it is and it does look like it could be there...im just making sure i don't fork out the $650 estimate they gave me if that is the prob. I'm over my warranty so that's why im complaining Any advices or clues out there i'd appreciate! Thanx Scioners.

I would get a second opinion from a reputable shop around u, normally I take my car to Christian Brothers. Honest cool people and normally take ur car apart to pin point problem and put it back together for free (if small or medium work of coarse)
