I understand the VAC is better on the earlier models (than the 2006) with the different type of mount and may also have more slack in the MAF wire from the harness.

I shifted the battery in the tray as far back as I could- neither the intake or MAF touch while driving.

try running, race plugs and wires, short ram, high flow filter, bored out megan headers, straight two and a quarter inch piping straight from header rear, tornado in intake, high volume fuel regulator and daily diven on 92 octane (ocassionally boosted). i get about 25 to the gallon and soon going to be boosted. thats feul consumption for ya, but loooovvvvveeeee the power gain, top and bottom.
