someone here needs to take good pics when doing theirs.
and add a decent write up.
Mikochu will then add it to the tech section...

Yeah, someone else do the how-to. I don't know when I'm going to be able to purchase the Perrin lightened pulley. I'm trying to save up for a new mp3 player and wheels...

You have to loosen the alternator bolts and rotae the alternator down to loosen that belt. For the power steering belt, I just stuck a big screwdriver between the belt and the pulley, put a ratchet on the crank pulley and turned it while prying the belt to the side and rotated the crak bolt until it came off. Nice an easy. For the crank bolt if you don't have air tools I feel sorry for you. Just put the car in gear and then give it a try. If the wheels spin have someone hold the wheel for you and try to break it loose quick. That's all the help I can provide without doing it myself. I hope it helps you out.

Thanks Munch... I wish I had air tools! But I'll give it a try w/ hand tools! Any additional suggestions would be great! I'll let you guys know how it goes.

What do the brakes have to do w/ the engine turning over? Aren't they independant of the engine crank turning?

just figured that if you had a tire spinning, it was most likely to be the one you would be working by.

having someone step on the brakes (and in gear) would keep them out of your way....

does anything bad happen if you turn the crank the wrong way? (either tightening or loosening the pulley)

Well took the hand tools to it and guess what, no luck. first of all when I loosened the 2 alternator bolts to move the alternater, it would not budge... then I took your advice, putting the car in gear and stepping on the brakes, but what do you know, the pulley still spins, so now i guess I'll just have to take it to a shop to get it done

Use a screwdriver and lodge it into the stock pulley so you can untighten the bolt...

I feel like a moron! Ran out of time to inatall my pulley this weekend cause I had to go to work & I couldn't figure out how to take the pulley off. Mikochu's suggestion to use the screwdriver came just after I'd already lowered the car and goin to work. I guess I'll have to give it another go. Hopefully Someone can do a How-to in the tech section so morons like me have a baby proof play by play on how to get this thing on. From what I'm reading, it seems like everyone is very happy w/ it.
