Default Power chips?

I haven't heard anything about any power chips, so I was just wondering if anyone else had heard any news about them coming out.

Nick,
DO NOT get the chip...All it does is makes your car think it's colder outside than it really is. Your fuel will mix richer and cause back-fires! Leave your dual exhaust box alone and get real upgrades. Not cheap ones!
Ohh, marry late christmas...

It is a little diode that fools the air/fuel mixture and causes it to run way rich which is not good for na cars. Running a little rich is good for turbo cars but not na applications. Plus they charge a lot for a diode that costs less than $5.

RHDVIPbB is right. i have seen various speed chips on Ebay from .99 to $28. They all claim it will not void warranties and is totally safe but i am skeptical. What they don't say is that these mods will not void the warranty unless....the mod directly causes some type of malfunction or failure, which these things may eventually lead to. Now are you really ready to risk all the money you put into the warranty for a 99 cent diode? I am a curious sort myself but i think i'll hold back on this one.

u guys sure that hes not talkin about a legit chip...by jet or another reputible company? they arent just a little diode that tricks your car...they basically tune your car and you can tune according to what you have installed on your car (headers, cold air intake, etc)
i think that is what miniH2 is asking about

That's exactly what I'm talking about. I mean a real chip, not the b/s speed chips that are worth about as much as a cracker jack toy.

Well, the ecu chips are a lot better. Sorry Nick, I wasn't sure what you were talking about. Any plug and play system is usually good. I have a list for you

Apexi Power FC @ apexi.com

HKS F-Con S @ hksusa.com

Greddy E-Manage @ Greddy.com

I would imagine those ecu chips are actually legit. I also thought you were talking about that crap on ebay. (did you also know that if you put a magnet on the fuel line between the tank and engine, you can increase gas mileage and add an extra 20-30-40+ hp???)

Default power chips

noty ebay, but from JET industries. they calim to piggyback your current ecu and its not meant to TEMPORARILY fool your car. it's meant as a permanent solution. anybody? going once, going twice, anybody
