Default Transmission Cooler

Having an Automatic Transmission xB, I worry that by boosting the HP I may decrease transmission life, the solution (I hope) is an Automatic Transmission Cooler with Synthetic Oil. The number one cause of automatic transmission failure is heat! A synthetic oil can reduce heat / friction by 25% a cooler can reduce it by another 25% so hear is my anwser to the problem.

The Cooler is mounted to the lower Radiator support and front bumper support

Yet another item to add to the list before getting the Greedy Sc. AS allways a nice job Rocket. Lookforward to any other info you want to pass on. Sorry Rocket but im a car stereo intaller and not a mechanic, but how exactly does the trans cooler tie in too or connect to the tranny and how often should you change the oil in the cooler.

the automatic tranny cooler connects to the automatic tranny cooler thats in the radiator its really a simple bolt on slightly messy due to the tranny oil

you would change it at normal auto tranny oil changes how many miles that would be 60K sound bout right?

I know nothing about Stereos so we are even.

You connect the Cooler in series with the cooler in the radiator. Find the exit side on the radiator cooler and run that line to the aftermarket cooler than run the exit of that to the transmission simple. I like to use Red Line Synthetic Oil because synthetics cause less friction and "Less Friction = Less Heat" I would change the fluid in a normal car every 50,000 miles in a boosted car every 30,000. (I change it in my Mustang Every Weekend) I figure Fluid is cheap compared to the price of a Transmission. Thats just my 2 cents hope it is worth it (since it was free)
Oh and the one question I did not anwser the Cooler I used was a B&M # 70255 we sell them were I work for $ 49.95.

i have a transmission cooler sitting here waiting for a warm enough day for me to install it.
does the xB also have a transmission filter? if so, do you have a part number?
my MX6 didnt have one and i wish it did. that car went through 2 transmissions in less than 50K miles

i was talking to one of the guys at the dealership today when i was getting my oil changed. he told me that if i install an aftermarket transmission cooler and the transmission goes out, it will not be covered under warranty. this kinda sucks. what should i do?

Im so tired of dealers throwing out the it wont be covered under warranty, all i hear is blah blah blah, LoL. You try to do somthing to help prolong the life of your tranny and its going to void your warranty, whats up with that. It like saying your gonna put synthetic in the engine and then having them tell you your going to void your warranty. I think if your really concered about it, you proably shouldnt do it, IMO.

LoL, i pull the old magnusonmoss act atleast once a day with my customers at work, dealers always pulling the its gonna void you warranty. The dealer does a good job scaring the heck out of them, with it.

I keep copies of it on the counter at work to hand out to customers. There is also a section in there that states a Dealership can ne fined up $ 5000.00 fo making false statements.

The website says that certain states have provisions to help out the owners, does anyone know what they are for california? Also, the atf that rocket put in is it cheaper in price and or better quality than the one made by blitz? I have a trd sport thermostat, will that affect puting a atf in?
