I think for the tbs it shouldnt be more than $150. But like I said with the manifold. Ill pay$500 if its a bolt on 30 hp...or around that.

I'm definatrly interested...but I'd like to see some good numbers for an N/A engine. I won't be turboed any time soon, so a boly on 30 HP would be sick as long as i'm not losing torque.

I think 30 is a stretch, I'd be happy to bolt on 10.. or even
7-8.. (at the wheels) IMO.. not to mention this will be upper range power (which usually means a lower end loss of some sort). I can smoke my tires half way into 2nd, so a shift in power band, for me, is a good thing, and adding to the upper is perfect. The thing to remember is our engine displacement is small, jumps in power are also small, a DOHC H22 might see a 30 gain with a manifold, but I doubt that with ours.. however the gain percentage wise should be the same.. if you go with HP to curb weight ratio, you willl find we are not that far off many cars.. I did the math with an RSX vs the box (110hp box vs stock RSX, which is doable), the HP/weight had the RSX in the lead by a hundreth of a HP per lb (something like that). We weigh less than the RSX by like 800lbs. So, dont be dissapointed by the small gains.. because they do mean something to our platform.

there is absolutly NO way we will see 30hp bolted on unless its a turbo.
I wouldn't believe 7 or 8
my guess would be about 4 or 5 hp

this coupled with the tb would prob see 10 to the wheels i would think, and i would think that this kinda upgrade wouldnt drop your low end that much if at all, its not like an exhaust where your loosing backpressure, your getting more air, sooner, and id bet that this coupled with some fuel management could see a pretty nice improvement if you get the tune right, even without f/i. but hey, im just guessing lmao

intake runners size , shape and length have just as much affect on torque as exhaust does if not much more.

the factory MAF is tuning injector duration based on factory sized intake.. so yeah you would need management to make up for this, if not.. then you will lose low end, and make it up in the upper range, with the stock PCM

o ok, i know ud benefit from the management, but wasnt sure about how itd do without it, like i said i was guessin lol, and i know about the runner length part, that why i was hoping their a model wit short runners to compliment my soon to be f/i setup

yeah its cool, short runner length with good internal velocity stacks would benefit all IMO

"the factory MAF is tuning injector duration based on factory sized intake.. so yeah you would need management to make up for this, if not.. then you will lose low end, and make it up in the upper range, with the stock PCM" not necessarily. The ECU will make an adaptive change based on what the sensors see. You are not increasing volume so much that the upstream sensor will see so lean that the ECU won't make up the difference for the plenum or the runners. The reason you will loose a little at the bottom is the loss of momentum.

So, I recall hearing on the testing intitally there was a pretty good loss of torque for N/A cars...is that to be expected with this new manifold...or have they fixed that issue some way? also..approx. price would be nice to see soon lol

Mine are going to be around $500. Not any more than that. Im going to be doing a few different designs. If they all lose power, then obviously I wont be selling them. I know the F/I design will gain both torque and hp. Not sure on the N/A design though. We will be doing alot of R&D and we will see where it gets us.
