Default Bypass valve with a Blitz?

have any of you considered installing a bypass valve with a blitz SC?
i am planning on reinstalling my blitz if i do not sell it by the summer, but i want to take care of a few things, the main thing being highway drone. second to that is the parasitic loss that i felt when the SC was turned off.

the blitz has no bypass, which means that the incoming air goes through the compressor regardless of whether the compressor is engaged. this needlessly makes quite a bit of noise and zaps NA power. i do not want to run high octane if i do not have to! i.e. long highway trips.

i am thinking that a bypass valve should prevent the compressor from spinning when not in use.

anybody tried it?

thanks!

magnuson sells "universal" bypass valves... you could get one of theirs and attach it to your manifold and intake... should work just fine...

won't that throw off your a/f/r if you are constantly switching to and from use?

haha! i guess that i should have had a not in the op pointing out the link to magnuson.

anyway, i am pretty certain that i will be doing this in a few months. i plan on talking with a shop that somebody recommended to do the custom work.
thinkin that an LSD is in order too. i can justify it because of snow and the occasional rallycross ;)

air/fuel ratio? no, because the bypass valve is to be used when the pressure in the intake manifold is less than the pressure before the compressor, which happens when the compressor is OFF and, possibly, as magnuson wrote, when cruising (constant speed). basically, it opens up when the compressor is doing nothing for you but draining power and, more important to me, making a butt load of noise.

btw, my mother's 2006 mini cooper s has one of these. i noticed the pathway from the intake that bypasses the compressor and got to thinking...
