Unhappy 2004 Scion xA Window Issues..

So I'm the proud owner of an xB that i have had since I bought it from a dealer in Los Angeles in 2004. It is a 300,000 mile tank that I would trust to drive anywhere with a road. A few days ago I bought a 2004 xA for $500.
Needless to say it has been mistreated and needs some cosmetic work but mechanically seems sound. One issue that is baffling me is a window issue. There are several threads here talking about similar problems,
but mine seems at least a little different.

The windows work intermittently. All four will roll down and then sometimes make it all the way up, but usually they will stall within 6 inches of the top.
If you then wait 5 minutes or so, they will go up another three inches. You can continue doing this until they get all the way up. Occasionally, neither of the rear windows will do anything.

My first thought was that the master switch was bad. I ordered one from a used parts guy in Dallas (I'm in Houston), got it yesterday and plugged it in, certain that everything would be good.
Nope. Same problem. Exactly the same with two different master switches (DS 6 button panel).

I have changed the fuse. No affect.

I have tried the whole "raising the window(s) to the top and holding them for 10 seconds" solution. No impact on problem. They still do not work.

Any ideas, Scion fans?

It could possibly be your window regulator or window motor going out

But all four regulators and/or motors going out at the same time? I mean, I'm not the luckiest guy, but what are the odds of all of them going out simultaneously?

I realized today that the switches on the other three doors (DS rear, PS front and rear) are also doing nothing.

If there is ONE bad switch can it cause the others, including the DS master switch, to malfunction?

If the master switch (Driver Side Front) is failing or bad, it could cause the other windows to fail. You said you got it from a used parts guy so the master switch could also potentially be bad. If you haven't already I would check to make sure your car battery isn't low because when your battery is low, it will often impact how other electrical devices in your car are working. You could also check to see what voltage is being sent to the switches.
