2006 Radio Glitch?
I talked to another dude who has an XB and has the radio issue. Said went to the local Toyota dealer, told them of the problem, and they ordered and installed a new radio without a peep.
Just a sidenote, my radio has not skipped since the radio swap...

In closing I would stress the squeaky wheel is the one that gets the oil...
I was having the same problem. Called the dealer and got the runaround. Called Scion, and then they called the dealer. I brought it to the dealer for the 1k check up, and they checked the radio and ordered a replacement for it. I got the call today that the radio was in and I made my appointment. When I hung up the phone and went to turn the volume up, the station changed
Oh well.
Also the rep I spoke with @ Scion called me to say that the dealer called her to let her know that the radio is in and I have an appointment to get it fixed.

Thanks for the #.
Everyone should do this, i told them what was happening, and they said there is actually a service bulliten out that every dealer should have. and they SHOULD replace your radio. So everyone call that number thats having trouble with their dealer. they are going to contact my dealer on my behalf is what they said.

Here's my radio glitch....It's a little bit different....
The other day, I got in and started driving, the iPod was playing, as it had been when I parked the night before....no big deal. Then I noticed that the H/U wasn't "on". There were no lights and it would not turn up or down the volume nor would the power button work. Finally, I hit the FM1/FM2 button and it switched from iPod to FM and the LED came on. I thought it was just a one time thing. It's done it twice this week, either at lunch or when I start home. These times it's been on radio and the FM1/FM2 button is the only one that will bring the LED on or anything. This can't have anything to do with cold, as it's not been below 85 during the days here in a long while.
I'll be contacting the dealer soon, but wanted to see if anyone else has noticed this. I've only had it happen on my xB, my friend's '06 xA hasn't had this happen.

I was told that instead of going up or down with the volume it switches over to the actual frequency and turns that up or down. Try turning that feature off and see what happens or take it back to the dealer like I did and get a new improved radio installed under warranty.
UPDATE: I finally noticed the ASL effect one day, and turned it off. I didn't like it. It seems most sensitive to engine revs.
About the Radio stations changing....
I've noticed this happens with my Xb when it was cold outside.(20 F) While I'm driving it will jump up after 5 minutes while warming up.
101.1 Fm will go to 101.3 Fm for example.
It's ok since the weather in 80 F now...

I just picked up my car yesterday. I haven't noticed anything as of yet. Does any 2006.5 owners still have this problem??
Since I only have 15 miles on the car so far I haven't had the time to really check everything out.

80% Less frequency jumping in the warm weather. I received my XB in Oct. It jumped about once a day over the cool months but noticibly less in the warm months. Maybe once a week in hot weather.
