2006 Radio Glitch?
I am wanting to take my XA in to get this radio issue fixed, but my husband has added a subwoofer himself to the sound system. Do you think they will still replace the radio, or does this void my warranty?

Should be no problem getting it fixed under the TSB - that is supposed to be a "no question" TSB if your OEM unit has a matching glitch.
If the dealer gives any hassle about doing it, call the Scion Customer Experience at 1.866.70.SCION.

It is the radio, there is a TSB describing the problem and the fix, and the fix is to replace the original radio with a new one that has a 'black dot' on its rear label, indicating it is either repaired or of a newer series. See: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...812123#1812123

I had my radio go crazy tonight - it kept running through the stations and would not stop and all the buttons were non-responsive - even after turning it off and on again didn't work and I couldn't get the CD running either . . . turned out the lower left Tuning/Track button was stuck in.
Good news. I brought my XB in for its third free oil change this morning and I gave the dealer a print out of the TSB. An hour later they had changed the oil and replaced the radio head! No questions asked, no problem, no run around. Thanks for posting the TSB it made the process much simpler.
Just to double check....
Are you guys only refering to the Pioneer HU with ipod capibilty and steering wheel controls?
Not the first updated HU that went from flat volume controls to a volume ****?
thanks

In December, after 20 months and 18,000 miles, the radio in my 2006.5 began seeking uncontrollably after playing for an hour. I made an appointment with the dealer, brought the TSB to show them, they took 30 minutes to remove and reinstall the radio to get the info off the back, and ordered a new radio. A couple of weeks later the new radio came in and I had another appointment to have it installed.
