Default Adding audio aux input to oem radio ?

Ok i've been searching for two years and so far nothing.

On ebay every so often there is a guy selling an OEM radio which has an audio input jack which just looks like a radio shack input jack you can find for 5$, yet he want's about 100$ for the radio.

Has anyone done this or have a DIY on this? I've asked at club xb, but I've not seen a single reply. I have everything to do it except the location where to cut into the aux/cd signal on the radio board.

thanks in advance and I'll post pictures or a diy since there isn't one if i can get it done.

Are you talking about adding an inline output adapter to a stock radio?

derp:

nevermind, i see you're talking about input not output. I know there used to be a guy that made a harness that allowed you to use the sat. radio input as an aux input.

I have not seen a DIY on this topic either. The only alternative was to purchase the aftermarket AUX wiring for our radio + that was $85-$100 delivered + not worth it. Much better to upgrade the dinosaur stock radio with a new headunit with all the bells + whistles. For my xB + wife's xA, I had purchased two JVC 200 watt "Arsenal" HD/USB/MP3/AUX 1 din radio $129.00 each with delivery, wire harness + radio adapter from Crutchfield.

Good Luck...
