I ordered the 12" perfect infinity sub, 400W RMS.

I will be building a sealed box for the cubby in the right rear space.


I spoke with Crutchfield and they said I needed a 2 channel amp that I could bridge to drive this single sub with.


They are suggesting a $150 Kenwood amp. Any other ideas or deals out there?

 

If you have the Perfect VQ sub, it's 1600watts max......I'd put at least 500 watts on it.......i'd recommend 500-750 watts continuous....

What would you suggest for around $200-$250? Any good deals out there?


Also, about the sealed box in the cubby, any thoughts?

 

ummmm.......I don't have any experience with these....but I've heard nothing but good things about Hifonics amps......they're good on the wallet too......

I have an amp for sale. The Jbl bp1200, its one of the best amps for its price. However I see your only planning to put one subwoofer so this amp may be too strong for what u what. that amp would be perfect for the single sub you have because it will only be running a 4 ohm load....which will make 600 watts....perfect!!!!

 

just keep the gains low and you should be fine. plus this amp will give you room to upgrade

 

Use visonik or ma audio amps. I believe they are made by the same company that makes audiobahn and they run very cheap and sound perfect for the one speaker you're using.
