Default Anybody have/use a Sony Xplod XM-405EOX?

My neighbor sold his car and has this amp left over and asked if I needed an amp. I am looking for a 4 channel amp for a set of component speakers but if this one is any good, I might consider it. I haven't found much info on the net so if anyone can throw in their .02 cents on it, it'd be appreciated. For comparison, I was looking at an eD NINe .4. Thanks.

Oh and since I have no clue what this thing cost new, what's a good price to offer if i'm interested?

Check ebay for what it's worth. IMHO, it's not worth the time or money to install it. Sony's new stuff is crap. If you can find their OLD ES line then go for it. I'd rather take that eD even though I have zero experience with it.

Default Sony Xplode

I have two of thier amps and they work pretty good. As far as the speakers, they suck. I have one 1000 watt xplode 2 channel sub amp, and a 750watt sony xplode 4 channel with adjustable crossover. This combo is nice and my system hits hard. if the price is good and its what your looking for get it, then you dont have to pay for the shipping. Yeah check out prices on e-bay. You can get alot more for a good price sometimes. Just make sure you check what the shipping cost is!

Good Luck.

I hooked up the sony amp and compared to my Cadence Z1000, it's not that great. I think i'll just give it back to the guy... I can wait to run my components until I get a proper amp. Thanks for the comments guys.

Dude where you live at. You should visit some car audio forums and experience what some real equipment will do.
