Default Audio Cabling For Sub?

I am a 3 week old new 06' TC owner (flint mica - the best color , and I LOVE it. It's great to be here. I have a few mods planned but for now...

I have usually had good audio systems in my cars, and the stock system is great for what it is, but I am of course adding a sub and there was no way I was going to pay $470 at the dealer, for an 8' sub. I am about to buy the 10' 200 watt Bazooka. The dealer told me that the sub cabling was already pre wired.

Can anyone tell me where the cable ends up, and is it as simple as just play and play?

Thanks in advance,

Greg

I'll tell you something man, you can find alot better equiptment for $470. You could get a Alpine MRD-M605 400w @ 4ohms and a Alpine Type R for about that price. Check ebay. As for wiring, go get a kit from Best Buy, 4AWG
btw.. this should be in ICE

It's likely not pre-wired. The harness that runs from the head unit to the sub is part of the sub package and is part of the install process.

The OEM one is actually a 10" and can be found online (trdsparks.com or mcgeorgeparts.com) for MUCH less than your dealer is asking. The install is cake. Then again, there are WAY better setups that you could get for a little bit more money... so it's up to you.

Oh ya... moved to ICE.

I'd recommend a 10 and external amp....will give you better results than the OEM and can be had with less, same, or more $$ than the OEM...

Thanks for those links on where to post ect...

I am not going to buy anything from the dealer except the supercharger. They WAY overcharge on everything. I was just going to buy the 10 bazooka, from my buddy that owns a car audio shop.for about 175 and throw it in there. I didnt plan on spending anything on a deck, although if there was a nice DVD unit that fit in there nicely, I would look at that. Reccommendations?? That's the only reason for that cover - to hide it otherwise it is pretty much useless because I keep it open all the time.
