Did 2005 xA come with Lock Remotes?
I have a 2005 xA that I bought used.
It did not come with remotes so I assumed they were lost. Since then I bought 2 OEM Scion remotes from 2 sources, put in new batteries, and I cannot program the car to them.
My car does not have a transponder key, if that means anything.
I've tried every online procedure I could find to program the remotes and everything goes fine until the final step when the locks are supposed to confirm the programming was a success.
And of course the remotes do nothing.

IIRC keyless entry was optional for the xA.
I know for the xB there were 2 different FCC id's for the remotes.
It is possible that your xA has keyless entry, but you have the incorrect remote for it.
