Maybe then, maybe they ran out of 04 stereos and put an 05 in yours, I wouldnt doubt it.

im not sure if its a way to tell but my 05 has SSP settings for Xa, Xb AND tC. I'm not sure if any 04 units have a setting for tC

T1805 is the only identifying number on my stero, maybe it is the same on the 04, maybe some one will tell us, who has an early model 04, look and find out.

 

Interesting because it does not have the TC setting but it has all the easter eggs... What the hell is up wit that??

The Pioneer is designed so that you can change the internal settings depending on which car you have it in. They progammed it so the settings would be what they thought was optimal for each particular car. I have an xB but I changed mine because I thought it sounded better on the xA settings.

 

How did you change the internal settings?

 

Hold down the SSP button for a few seconds, something will flash if I remember correctly, then you just use the up and down buttons to adjust where you where you want it.
I think all of this is in the manual for the stereo.

can someone help me out please? Do I hold the buttons mentioned required for what I want before I turn on the radio? And when I do turn it on do I put it in "ON" or "ACC"? Help guys!
