Default eD xB Underseat SQ10 Enclosure - How Does it sound?

f you have it how does it sound? I may buy it if it sounds clean. I am looking for crisp sound. I don't want the "king kong" bass, just some clean balanced bass.

i have the box with an elemental designs 10". it is very clean sounding, but at 30+ volume, i believe my sub begins to rattle against the floor pan. less noticeable after 40 as the speakers drown the rattle out. ppl like the bass in my car because it isn't overpowering, complements the sound system nicely. you're not going to blow anyone's mind with the bass... it just sounds real nice. the box is light, sturdy and compact. great if you don't want to add unneeded weight. i like the box a lot, but sometimes i feel like blasting bass and i just can't do it with this setup. hope that helps dude.

yeah, ihave to agree with gaps720. this setup does sound nice and clean, but unfortunatley you are not gonna get alot of bass. i was thinking of buying another one for the drivers side seat, but im not sure if this is really gonna make the bass that much louder. the problem is i dont not want to sacrafice the space in the back that a full sub box would take up, so this is my only option. so if space is more important to you than loud bass, this is a good setup to go with.

Can anyone confirm that a second box will fit under the drivers seat?

You would most likely have to remove the jack, but even then, I dont know what else is "mounted" under it.

i am making a box that fits inside the spare tire. I currently have a pioneer shallow 8 in there and it rocks. great sound quality, super tight bass, needs very little power, and since its in the hatch,m its louder then a underseat one. PM if you want any pics or pricing

Yes, it does fit under the drivers seat. You need to remove the jack holder though. And also bend up a bracket that holds the airbag sensor wires. We did an install locally with a pair and the guy loved it.

Anyone know the depth of those boxes if I wanted to stick a different sub in it?

does it use every inch of space under the seat, or could I squeeze a few more inches if I made my own box??

It uses all the space, if it was taller, the seat would rub it.

Has an available mounting depth of about 3.25".

I have one of these and its GREAT!!

I found this photo from another SL Member, this can be bought on e-bay or Crutchfield I was tired of my Bazooka Tube getting in the way every time i needed to use the back. when I first bought this i just used a old amp i had laying around and it was pretty good, i just upgraded to a MTX Sub Amp and it really brought this thing to life.
