Default Help Please - Will Amp support Subs?

I am thinking of changing my current sub setup. I have a Boston GT24 AMP

Amp has the following stats

14.4V - 1x900 @ 2ohm
12.6V - 1x750 @ 2ohm

I am thinging of getting 2 Boston G5 12 (4 Ohm)subs that are 450RMS each. Wired together, it should drop the load to 2ohms, Right????

I know it won't quite reach the RMS Output for each sub, but it would be pretty close. Will the output make a huge difference.

Also, they offer the subs in both Single and Double Voice Coils. What is the difference? The price is the same, which should I go with?

Thanks for the help

A DVC sub offers more wiring possibilities. But for you to get to 2 ohm, 2 4 ohm SVC subs would be fine. If you wanted to get DVC(Dual Voice Coils) You'd need to get 2 ohm subs. Then wire them series parallel. Wire each subs VC's so it's a 4 ohm sub, then parallel them together at 2 ohms. This diagram shows how:

^^^^^I appreciate the help. Can anyone confirm that for me so I know the info is correct. The amp is a 2 channell amp that can be wired for mono use. So I guess i just need to make sure that it is wired properly for the subs.

What about the amp power for running the subs?

Well, w/ your car on and running, it should approach 14.4 volts. My neon was at 14.2. Should be perfect for those two subs.
