Just got my xB and the dome light is not very bright. Anyone out there made adjustments or redid theirs to make it brighter so you can see what you are doing at night?

 

A good thing for that is to replace it with LEDs - try this

I have used the search, not specifically for this, and never get what i am searching for. Guess i need to take remedial search 101.

 

1) there is a company that makes LED Boards for the dome, leddomelight.com??

2) put in a second dome above the rearview mirror, look killer

That is SO perfect! Color match to headliner, shape to fit space between visors--sweet.

I have an 05 box with a Webasto sunroof, the one with the small control panel just slightly to the rear of the visors. Exactly how does your 07 Escalade piece fit up into the headliner: does it just "float" or hang from the material? Need something solid to mount into?

Am wondering if I would have enough room in front of my sunroof control--but behind the rear-view mirror--to put in something like that. I really need map lights and/or cabin light ABOVE my head (not behind it, like with the stock dome). BTW, are there 2 map lights AND a cabin light? Any suggestions or help will be greatly appreciated, thanx.

 

Well it kinda floated but i put some carpet foam around it that way it will be kinda stiff, so when i push the buttons it wont move, there are 2 map lights, i only wired it that way.

 

Would you have a part number for me?
And cost from Cadillac dealer?

I believe Randode and Yelosub have both done map light mods near the rear view mirror. They look totally OEM............

for my dome i wanted to get on of the leddomelight.com boards but that was a bit much for me so i went for this instead

nix my last post bout the bulbs, I just ordered from autolumination. got a bunch of crap for a good price:

1 blue 9 led dome for style

1 white 9 led dome for practicality

2 multipurpose blue led lights for front floor
(wiring these to the dome)

Total: $25 bucks!, def a cheaper deal than leddomelight

 

i personally like the 9 led dome, but others probably dont, the leddomelight.com one is awesome but 35 is alot. dmpsk7, i think you will like the one you chose.
