Default Interior lighting

Hey, I just noticed this and I was wondering if anybody knew about it. You know how the xA and xB have the neon lighting option and cup holder lighting option. Well, I was building my tC on scion.com and noticed that those options are not available. Will they be available later on or are they just not going to put those on the tC?

This might be another example of options being available for different areas. It has it available for mine for cupholders at least. I've seen pictures though of people's tc's with the neon above their pedals though. I can't find the pic though

I have a cold cathode interior lighting kit in development.

That blue lighting looks sweet. I will most definately ask my dealer for the lighting packages that they offer. And, if they are not offering them in this area I will be shopping for some aftermarket options.

Hey, Randode... I've read a lot of good things about your cold cathode kits. When will they be done?

Don't get the dealer installed neons. They're way over priced, and they suck. Cold Cathodes are much brighter, and Randode makes a badass, very easy to install kit.

Default LED's

Randode, do you do the cup holder LED's too? I keep hearing its not that hard but before I screw up the electronics of my soon to be tC, would rather pay a little more for some step by step instructions. Also, I want the switching system to be like the factory where one switch controls both underdash and cup holder led's.

They left the tC as clean as they could so people customized them the way they wanted.

Well, I live over on the Eastside (Georgia) so how much would it cost for the Cold Cathodes kit including shipping? And what all will it include? I won't be getting my tC until May 2005 (the lease on my Celica is up by then.) so no hurries.

Also, if you make body underlights that match the interior, I would greatly appreciate the info.

Th cold cathode kit for the xB is $100 (shipping is $7-$10). I am assuming that the tC will be similar, so it should be about the same. It includes my wiring harness, 4 cathodes, inverters, a switch that pops right into the dash, instrucions, etc.

sorry, i dont make underbody kits at this time.

Has anyone tried to use a Cold Cathode kit from a PC?

It is DC current (like the car) and *should* work.

Just a suggestion, I'm not really into the funky light scene.

If you used PC cold cathodes and used some simple switches and current conversion things from radioshack or somewhere.you could do it for alot less. Cold cathodes are cold cathodes.

Actually cornfield,
with both of them being DC current, they should work with out a AC-DC converter.
You would need to check the amps to insure it is properly fused.
