Default Kenwood DDX7019 head unit ?

Does any body have this head unit in there XB, if so how do you bypass the video function to use while driving. I want to be able to listen to my comedy shows from my ipod.

Thanks,

Erik

On most video HU's there is a wire that is connected to the park brake wire. My Kenwood 6019 is very much the same. This wire supplies a ground when the brake is set. Disconnect the wire from the park brake lead and hook it to body ground....now all functions will work all the time. Be advised that in some states having it wired this way is illegal. Be also aware that in some states having any video playing in front of the driver while in operation is illegal. Proceed at your own risk!!!

TT,

thanks for info, yes here in cali it is illegal but it is the only way I can listen to my video comedy shows on my ipod. I have read that some of the other brands need a couple of tugs on the parking brake before they will switch to video, I would like a unit that just needs awire grounded.

thanks,

erik
