has anyone had any problems with the new silver kicker l7's? i was considering buying them but a buddy of mine has blown two already, he has a single ten in a fiberglas box with an mtx amp.....just wondering because i want some new speakers because i previously had 1 15" sub and could never get it to sound right. thanks for the info.....

 

Just get a single JL Audio 10 or 12w7 or go crazy and get the 13w7 13.5" sub outperforms supposedly every 15" available for consumers


get the JL 1000/1 amp to run it and pound harder than a dog in heat.... :D

my l5 blew one of the voice coils after 10 months. I'm in the process of getting a replacement under warranty but I can't find my receipt...

 

The 1000/1 is wayyyyyy overpriced.

As a matter of fact, everything JL Audio makes is overpriced... and the 13w7 wishes it could outperform every other sub regardless of size.

The Kicker is a good sub, it takes a large box for a flat response... but hey, thats the way the cookie crumbles...
