hot box, you are selling them? ...thats not making me any more confident in buying them why are you selling?
i got a really good deal on a three way diamond hex component system, so i bought it, and im settin up some fiberglass door panels to hold them, so i dont need the focals, i actually hate to sell them, cuz they sound really good, but three ways are cool!

Wow! TYou would choose Fosgates or Phoenix Golds over MB Quarts? Are you insane? I understand if you are on a tight budget, but never would anyone in their right mind who could afford MB Quarts settle for Fosgates. Fosgates are crap when compared to MB Quarts, and yes I have heard both. I ride in a friends truck daily and he has Fosgates, and quality between his Fosgates and my MB Quarts is unbelievable.
Pay closer attention Mr. One80.... He didn't say RF or PG were better, he said their subs went well with MB....
As an English major in college, I clearly understood what Chrno was trying to say. This topic has nothing at all to do with bass. What Chrno meant to write was "mb quarts[? or !] go with rockford fosgates or phoenix golds... ive done systems for 8 years and continueing ... "

He was not referring to their subwoofers at all, at least I hope he wasn't because subwoofers are irrelevant to this thread. He was talking about components and coaxials, which is what the orginal post was about.

So next time try and pay closer attention Mr. UrbanDrum.
:? Thanks for your two cents though. :?

Phoenix Gold 6" Titanium Elites powered by a Phoenix Gold Titanium 600.2. Each speaker's getting 150W RMS! and they have a 3" voice coil! That combo should be under or near a grand. I say this as I just paid retail ($1600) and found out you could buy them online, OUCH!

Ok so i have to give my two cents. As far as speakers go there are few that are
great. The Rainbows are very nice and at 7k they should be! Now i personally like
Focal, Dynaudio, Morel and Mb Quarts Q's. There are a whole lot of really ok speakers out there which include some of Mb's line , Boston, Crossfire, JL, and many more from the major brands . The single biggest advice any audio person can give you is LISTEN TO YOUR OWN MUSIC and listen to as many speakers as you can
and the most important thing to remember is get what u like and will work in your system. System design is now your best friend. I hope this helps

hell I'm running my stocks up front and killed the rear's with a proper set up you don't need the rear speakers. I have a JL Audio 300x4 75 watts to each door and mid/tweet in the dash. Of course I do have the Eclipse 8443 with all the bells and whistles to even things out, I'm thinking about some ID mid's and some wave guides up front. Still not sure yet though.... gotta love being into sound.
