MONO vs 2 Channel Amp????
I already purchased two Phoenix Gold Xenon X400.1 and two Subwoofers Phoenix Gold Xenon X10D2 10”. Actually I purchased this subs to replace my two Kicker CompVR 12”
In mind to connect one amplifier to one sub… but I tested one of this PG amp with my two kickers and, damn!!! Hits very hard! This is an impressive little 400watts amp. And I’m in dilemma right now. I think that I will install this two amps with the two 10” PH and the two 12” kickers.

Impedance (measured in ohms) is the amount of electrical resistance the speaker or sub haves against the power of the amp. The lower the impedence of the sub or speaker, the more watts the amp can push to it. CAUTION: amps are rated to a certain amount of watts RMS at a certain impedance. You have to be certain to match the impedence of the sub or speakers to the amps output at that certain resistance. You can also use different wiring techniques to achieve different impedences from sets of subs. If you have 2 4ohm single voice coil subs, then you can wire them in parallel to get a 2ohm load from them, or wire them in series to get an 8 ohm load. go to www.the12volt.com for more information regarding speakers, amps, impedences and more.

Don't mix and match sub sizes or sub types. This will cause cancellation issues....of course, if you're just trying to make it loud, then go for it. If you want to mix and match, do it properly. Put the 2 12's in a large ported box that is tuned to about 28Hz and crossed over at around 50Hz LPF... then put the 2 10's in a sealed box crossed over HPF at 50Hz and LPF at 80Hz...this will seperate the frequencies going to each set of subs to keep them from fighting to try to play the same notes.

@fishingexpert87: You don't need the capacitor, but if you do install it, you just need some crimp-on connectors. You can use the power and ground wire from the kit to connect it. The "Xplor" amp sounds like one of those knock-off amps made to sound like a brand name amp (like Kenford), in this case the Sony "Xplod" line.
lmao i kno its a knockoff but if it hightens the highs and lows/mids a bit i will b happy
oh and should i connect the amp i already have with this knockoff? or am i risking bad stuff to happen?
