Default Need help in picking a head unit!

Guys, I am looking for a new head unit for my XB and I'm a bit overwhelmed by the choices out there. Here's what I need-

2 RCA outputs (dont care about the wattage in the head as Im running amps)
Red/amber display
EQ
MP3/CD (dont care about XM capability)
Audio input for a external DVD player (in the future)
and a price range of about 200-250 bones.

Can someone help me out with what they know sounds good? I am not brand loyal.

well you can get an optional input for the alpine units.. around $200 is the 9847 head unit.. but it doesn't have an EQ just bass/treble.. but has everything else you wanted..

add an extra $50 and you can get the alpine cda-9851 has 3 preouts so can have a subwoofer control on the headunit, satellite radio ready so you can choose between sirius or xm later on. also iPod ready and has a AUX capabilities (need a $20 adapter for aux)

Well, I know this above ur price point, but i figure you would like some choices so..

Crutchfield has the CDA-9833 for $300 right now and iowagary posted a coupon for Crutch that will drop this price to $280 with shipping and no tax (except in VA i think??). The 9833 is a good unit with quite a few features that should make up for the price difference.

I would go with the Pioneer Premier 770. Its a nice deck, well loaded, and can be had online for about $230.
