I've got it installed but can't seem to get the unlock to function. Does it require a double pulse? I tried to reprogram the unit for double pulse but it refuses to go into reprogram mode. Can anyone help?

 

Yes it does require a double pulse for unlock. What are you doing to get the unit in to programing mode?

 

To get in to programming mode: Turn key to run position and back off, tap the Valet switch 5 times, hit valet one more time and hold. You should get 5 horn honks or LED will blink 5 times, to let you know you are in feature 5. Press the unlock button on remote and this should turn the Double pulse unlock on for you. Make sure the Yellow ignition wire is hooked up or it will never go into programing mode.

 

yes it does require a double pulse, but u should be able to just hit unlock twice to see if it works.. If its not working then u may not have the right wire tapped into .

 

Thanks for the fast reply! I'm doing exactly as you (and the instructions)said for the reprograming but it ignors me. I'm putting power to the yellow then off. I then hit the valet button 5 times then hold in but get no responce from the LED.

 

Sorry i have to ask this question. You made sure you plugged the Valet switch in?

 

If I also connect the blue (second unlock output) to the blue/yellow and double hit the remote (with just the right interval between hits), it will unlock.

 

Yes. It does function as a valet switch.

 

When you start the car do the locks, lock?

 

I don't want that feature so I normally don't have the yellow connected but when I do power it to attempt reprograming, it does lock.

 

Well im kinda stumped then, i'll see what else I can come up with.

Since no one has a solution to reprogram, does anyone know if the unlock trigger from the rt side switch is also double pulse? I was thinking I could tap into the green/black wire instead of the blue/yellow.
