Seems like, they just came in here to create a hype to sell a product and than left. or not. who knows.

about two weeks ago the owner of Luminics was on this thread https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...light=luminics
you guys should PM him... it's obvious that it's the bulb causing the problem.

I want to invest in some as well....
I'll either start a thread after i get the plug-n-play connectors or tell you guys some info about it when i get it if this thread is still around. I'm fine with running my stock bulbs for a while. All the money i'm getting in the next couple weeks are going to the full rockblocker paint protection kit and the installation of it ((much higher priority)). When i get the plug-n-plays i will let you guys know how it is though. And i do agree that luminics needs to come in this thread and atleast state his company's position...

It seems that they have modified their gurantee from a 1 year full to 60 days. Hmm. Seems like there are many people with this kind of problem.

The 60 days is a money-back guarantee. If you're not happy with them within the 60 days, they will refund your money. The bulbs still have a 1 year warranty...

guarantee != warranty

well it still had to be the bulbs. There has yet to be anyone on this HUGE forum that has mentioned their harness frying because of stock bulbs, or your piaa bulbs. I still acredit the short to luminics.

Yes this is an issue with the bulbs. Now, I don't have much experience hands on but logical reasoning tells me these bulbs are underrated at 55 watts. I'd dare to say 70+ watts per bulb.

Those fry marks are definately from a sign of overloaded amperes. Similiar to a blown fuse's burns, it occurs when too much heat is generated and the harness just basically melts/burns.

If anyone has an amperage tester, run a test and see how much these bulbs are actually pulling. 55 watts would be about 4.1A.
I've never done this myself, but you could get an estimate on amperage by putting an inline fuse on through the positive wire, and put in a 5 amp fuse. If it blows, it's definately higher than ratted amperage/wattage.

We are now stocking beefier wire harness's for the 9005, 9006, and H7 applications that can handle up to 100watts. It is a simple installation of cutting, crimping, and pluging in the bulb. The harness is on sale now for $6.95 at http://www.luminicsdirect.com/Lumini...%20Harness.htm

so lets say you replace the stock plugs with the beefier plugs with thicker wires. lets assume they're 12 or 14 gauge wires coming out of the beefier plug. you then connect the 12 or 14 gauge back to the stock 16 or 18 gauge wires. the extra current draw still have to make it thru the thinner stock wiring. how does having bigger wires at the end help when the rest of the stock wire is experiencing current draw that its not rated for? the safest way is to use a relay harness with thicker wires that gets power directly from the battery.

ok how hard is it to change a bulb? twist out and switch. The only harm u can do is to touch the bulb but that would only cause to the bulb.

This is how I knew luminics were cheap.

1. Serveral people including myself had ask whats the wattage on these bulbs. Luminics has try to avoid answering the question serveral times. Until it was repeatedly questioned about. And Luminics responses saying it is in fact the same wattage.

2. If it is in fact same wattage how can something like this occur?
Lets say I give you the benefit of the doubt, You're telling me loose wiring? bad connection from factory? If so y didn't it burn w/ the stock bulbs?

3. What makes Luminics anymore appealing to me and the average crap bulbs on eBay?
They lie about the wattage.

a lot of the tcs are having that problem 55w wouldnt burn out ur harness or anything because thats hardly a jump up in amplitude and thats what would be causing the shorting of the wire. u can do one of 2 things.

1. put in a new harness
2. put stock bulbs in and have them fix it

but the bulbs isnt the reason ur harness died its just a malfunction of the tC

yeah.. i had silverstars before, and they lasted for about a year.... no problem with harness or anything... and currently running pure blues with no problem... i'm still curious of what their $7 plug-and-play harness will do for anything...
