Actually you don’t, it is not safe depending on the color of the lights. I chose RED for a few reasons, one it is part of the theme of the car. Second, RED is in the light spectrum that allows one to see with out causing the eyes to be blinded or dilated. Why do you think the military uses red lights.

The pictures are on an aperture value, each exposure is about 30 seconds each to gather enough light. With a black interior on red the lights are subtle an not this bright.

i think it's worth every penny...YES you can make your own kit, but some of us (or probably just me ) aren't talented enough to do that...

...Randy's kit is straight up plug-n-play, it didn't took me long to install thanks to the straight-forward instructions it came with...

...like what Randy posted, this thread is suppose to be the comparison between his kit and the dealer ones...

I've got the Blue Randode's and drive with them on all the time (at night of course) with no problems at all. His kit is great because this was my first Cathode install and I didn't feel like trying to figure ____ out (where to plug it in, what do I need, blah, blah, blah) and he's gotten nothing but outstanding reviews, that was a big selling point for me.

Are they just wired through the cigarette lighter or something?
No, you plug them into a fuse in your panel(or whatever you call it to the left of the steering wheel.

Randode's kit is by far the best one out there. My tC was the first one with Randode cathodes and much time went into making the tC kit perfect from fit to finish. You cannot go wrong with Randode.

No offense to Randode, but can't someone just buy some cathodes from any online computer store (svc, etc) for like 6 bucks, and use those?

you could. but most of my customers dont want to deal with wiring up all those lights. My kit is plug and play.
