God! Randode's kit is soooo overpriced. I could make the same kit for some bellybutton lint from your mom and some gum with a penny attached to it!!

Just kidding. Randode's stuff is top notch and though I haven't decided if I'm putting interior lighting in yet, if I do, his stuff is the stuff I'll be smok..using.

Ahem, distracted there for a moment. =p

As a total modding newb it took me more than an hour (more like 2) to install the Randode kit but the directions were top notch and I couldn't be more happy with the results. The rocker switch looks great in the dash and the lights are nice and bright. I got the blue kit and installed it yesterday morning. I think the best value in the kit is the wiring harness, I know I wouldn't have been able to put something like that together.. I would say that the weakness is the under the seat inverters... I had a bit of trouble mounting those with the zip ties.. but still, that is probably just because I have never done anything like this install before. Some pictures in the directions would also help make them a little more clear for a newb like myself.. but still, I never really had any problem with them and highly recommend the randode kit.

Now I want a kit to put LEDs in my heater vents.. Anyone know how to do that?

Randode's are way over priced, you can get 4 cathodes, which is what he sells, for less than $15 shipped, and its really easy to put in

I think we've been over this.....If you want to buy cathodes and figure out the installation yourself thats fine, but there are a lot of us that prefer Plug and Play....

Will,

Its more than just that. Please read my post again.

If not, here ya go:

I much preferred Randode's kit because I didn't have the time to run all of the wiring and loom it myself. Randode's kit is quick and easy and took less than an hour. If I would have attempted it myself, it prolly would have taken all day.

Ok, maybe not all day, but 5 hours compared to one?

I'll take Randode's kit any day.

-prices are approximate of course-
$15 for 4 cathodes shipped from somewhere unknown, do they even work.
$10 for 2 rolls of black and red wire.
$5 for a switch that might fit in the dash.
$5 for wiring connectors, more than you needed to start with.
$5 for heat shrink tubing, you may never use the rest after this.
$5 for a pack of zipties.
$10 for some wire loom covering.
$ gas to drive around getting parts.
Tap the wires into a power source your not sure about and melt a $2000.00 wiring harness: Priceless

I'll spend the $100.00 on the randode kit, rather than diy....

Besides, I have seen the factory lighting and the randode lighting and the cathode setup looks great.
