Default Rear door speaker swap?

hey, i think its absolutely stupid that they put the rear speakers all the way in the back of the Xb, especially considering im putting some solobarics in and my air ride system and will need room for compressors, tanks, and speaker boxes. i wanted to transplant the speakers into the rear door panels, i think it'd give an over-all better sound, and also alow me to even hear them once i have the install done in the rear storage area. i was wondering if anyone has done so and had a tastefull turn out that wasnt too difficult. if so, could anyone show me how, explain it, tell how the results were, and show sum pix or sumthing. the other option is, does anyone make like a bracket/cover that i can simply cut, and install into the doors?

i dont want to have to use a bunch of fiberglass, or do anything requiring me to paint any interior parts.....i wanna keep it real nice, and simple and unique. any ideas guys????

greenguyshrek has this done, check out his post @ https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=82079

He doesn't go over exactly how he did it but if you try shooting him a PM he may reveal his tricks to us on this post !

seems like if you want it badly enough, a sawzall, dremel, and some fiberglass would get you on your way. I can't see it doing it any other way really.

I don't see how you will be able to cutup all that plastic and somehow get it to look like factory again. I would just go with fg'ing the lower portion of the door with new mounts and grills. Also when I said sawzall I meant for the actual door, not the panel. I have no idea if there is enough room in the rear doors for the speaker magnets to reside let alone mount to the car. Components in the rear? Wierd...

yea, i kno, rear is mainly mids and lows, but, i wanna mount componants in the rear w/ the tweeter relatively close to ear level so in the front when i get the surround sound system done, it will give more of an effect for the dvd system and the sound system overall...im gunna need all the high's and mids i can get b/c of the L7's and the phoenix gold amp pushin them, along w/ the occasional hummm of the compressor for the air ride.....know what im sayin man?!
